Thronefast, of course, as all her many loyal citizens would aid the soldiers - that includes every class, even bards! A People Inspired indeed. After that traitor Ossari, we learned to defend against all threats.
I feel sorry for the goblins.

Define 'horde' and 'army'. What numbers are we talking about? Is a horde larger than an army? Are the goblins higher level? What class composition does the goblin horde have? What classes does the Thronefast army have?
I can create scenarios where either would win depending up any number of variables. So the answer then is 'Both'

Basically this. All comes down to numbers and scenario. Open field battle or does goblins sneak into human camp at night and kill most of them while asleep. But if I had to choose one then humans - becouse, you know ... plot armor ;)
Humans have access to Shamans, Clerics, and Paladins who should be capable of removing the potential threat of diseases and poisons that the goblins pose, while also being able to keep allies alive with their healing capabilities. My vote goes to the humans if we are looking at an evenly matched playing field.
If we are looking at potential though I think the goblins would get the gold medal. You never know what other denizens of the world they are possibly allied with, or what wild creatures they have domesticated/enslaved as war machines. As versatile as the human race is I doubt they would be able to hold multiple enemy factions and domesticated/enslaved creatures. In this situation, the humans of Thronefast would need to call in reinforcements from the other various playable factions in order to survive.
probably goblin they would find a way to spike our mead and wait til the next day to strike.
My perception of the encounter based on my preconcieved notions of goblins and my biases leade me to the following:
Goblins, as a horde would be Zerging. They would see the thronefast army as a raid target and zerg it.
If the Goblin Horde was big enough they could swarm the army and defeat it at great cost. A nosey group of lowbies could turn the corner, see the half dead remnants of the horde and kill the rest of the goblins and take all the loot- form the goblins and the thronefast soldiers and high-tail it ouf of there and back to town to sell.
On the other hand, the Thronefast army would see the Goblin horde as a bad pull, or a train.
The Thronefast army would be provisioned, equally if not well-geared and would have experience as a group so they would know how to work together and probably have stopped a few trains in their day. The Thronefast army would kill all the goblins. A nosey group of lowbies could turn the corner, see the Thronefast army being re-buffed anda few fallen soldiers rezzed and see the pile of dead goblins scattered everywhere and say "camp-check?" while, unspoken, the Thronefast army tossed a few buffs their way.
