Im wondering if there is a new idea of the system requierments for the game?
The last statement on this was some time ago and lists some (relatively) very outdated hardware.
Anything official or semi-official to get an idea of whats needed for those of us thinking about getting a new rig?
Serious question here: if you are planning to build, meaning your haven't yet built anything, what do you plan to build? A system that can't even run a modern MMO? or a system that will run nearly ANY AAA title game at whatever resolution your monitor will have.
Are you planning to buy a 1080P monitor? at 1080, a toaster will play the game.
1440P? a Four slice toaster with ANY graphics are over $200
4K? then build a system that wil play every other game on the market at 4K/60 FPS and I will guarantee you, pantheon will ALSO run just fine.
I am not trying to be mean, but why would you "build a system" today, that is so weak, you are somehow worried that Pantheon won't run well on it?
are you buying a Radeon 4GB $99 graphics card? plan to play at 1080p at 30FPS with Low settings.
Are you going to buy a 2070 Super or 2080 super or even higher? (2080TI 11GB) do you really think these Top Tier cards are going to have an issue with a MMO? They already are playing AAA title game at 4k/60. why would they not run pantheon well?
Any Intel from skylake on up will work fine (which you wouldn't be using something that old in a new system to begin with) or an AMD 2000 series or above would be enough to play the game.
Do this. Get an Intel 9900K proc. 32GB ram. RTX 2080 super or RTX 2080Ti 11GB. M.2 Samsung EVO drive, and a good power supply. There isn't anything better on the market, it will play ANY game at 4K/60. No need to worry about requirements. They can't design a game that NEEDS that hardware listed above or they'd have 16 customers total. They will make it run "ok' on any system made in the last 6-8 years.
And, if you are building "for pantheon" wait. You have Years to build. by then, a 2080Ti will be old news and half priced. The 4080Ti and Intel 7nm 12900K 69 core will be out around the time of Pantheon retail launch.

The FAQ hasn't been updated in 3 years, they have none of these details, none.

I think Brad mentioned a few times he has been playing the game on his old faithful pc from a few years ago, but i'd say if your keen to get a new pc soon just get a beast by 2019 standards and you are all good for pantheon.
In saying that i wouldnt take computer hardware advice from me, haha so probably a good post to take with a grain of salt :p
They have spoken about it in various places several times and said that they will cater to low end systems, but you can turn it down. They even spoke recently about being able to turn down the settings to get good FPS or leave them where they are and suffer bad frame rates.
It sounds like they are keeping up-to-date with recent version of Unity, so can do high end graphics, but are keeping low end systems firmly in mind.
In my opinion, as always, spend as much as you can afford to, but Pantheon will cater to all.
It's not a high-speed FPS after all.
The game is a ways off from release yet, so I would wait.
If you're going to be in the Alpha, then again, I'd wait (I am), to see how my system currently runs it, then figure out how much more power I will need, and make decision from there, because as someone else said above, Brad has been running it on his old PC without any real issues, so it may not require a $5,000 beast to play.
I have no intention of buying the best of everything, and wasting a ton of money on crap that will be cut in price by 50% a month later when the next series gets released. I typically buy a model or 2 lower than the latest, and usually upgrade components in a cycle. One year the MB and CPU, the next might be RAM, then Video, etc. But since I quit playing games a couple years ago, I haven't upgraded anything, and wil most likely have to upgrade everything when Pantheon is ready.

I believe that VR said at one point they wanted to make the game accessible to anyone who wanted to play it. That being said I think anything with a quad core, 8 gigs of ram, and a half decent gpu should at least get your foot in the door. You may not be at ultra with 100fps, but I dont see any reason realistically why you would need something terribly high end :)
There have never been system requirements for this game listed.
Is that something that people even worry about anymore? Pretty much every game in existance have enough settings that you can play it no matter what your system is.
