Cant wait to see some dark myr models, with the level of detail VR is putting into a single tree I can only imagine how awesome the city and race will be.

Been kinda ignoring Pantheon the past few months, came back to see the project Faerthal looks to be around the corner, really looking forward to seeing what is in store.

Hope that VR has not lost any steam, there are alot of us just patiently waiting for the next move.  Obviously dont want to directly compete with Classic Wow, but in several months a lot of people will be burnt on that as well, project1999 new release will be interesting but I already had my fun in classic EQ plenty enough, and there are no real MMO's other than Pantheon in the works that I know of.

The people want something new, but also hope they dont spend to much time on complicated mechanics and trivial gate keeping stuff, at the end of the day this is a sandbox MMO and gotta allow alot of freedom for it to capture that old magic.

It was hinted at around March they they 'may' have begun working on the Dark Myr and Skar models. If you take that as though they are in fact, then we should possibly see them here shortly. Considering how they're working on a lot of models to include NPC models, I gathered that they've been busy but at least we have a hint that they're in the pipeline.

Unfortunatly after seeing the step backwords (IMO) with the Ogre models and then the Asian Elf models, I actually dread seeing any more character models.

Not excited about it at all.

I agree with the Ogre models but also others. In general, the models for Elf, Human, Halfling and Ogre look like varying sizes of the same race if you throw on a full sized helmet on each of them.

As for the Asian Elf. What I would think is this isn't the default racial characteristic and in fact there will be a character customization that allows for a wider, flatter face with more asian eyes but also more angular faces with caucasian eyes. I expect there to be a wide selection but more to the point, a selection of eyes generally, which shouldn't be too difficult to do. This is why I think the concern that was felt earlier on may have been a bit premature. Time will tell though.

I think the races themselves look fine. What I am concerned about is that the models themselves all look like they're carrying a book in their armpits. Why are they holding their arms out like that? It just looks silly to me. I was hoping that it was because they were placeholder models in the beginning, but the new skins and updates haven't really made any change to that. This is being nit-picky, but it still kinda bugs me. I'm excited to see how the Dark Myr turn out; it's an interesting race.
