My eye are always drawn to a Monk post, but do not understand this one at all. Could you please clarify what you mean?
For some reason your post brought me back to Everquest I (Live) and Everquest 2. I had been an Ashen Order Monk in West Freeport (Qeynos Silent Fist Order was just too far away from anything else) and had been proud of it.
Then in EQ2 Freeport had become an evil city (apparently the Corrupt Guards and Lucan defeated the North Freeport Paladins and the Order of Marr) and the Ashen Order had moved out of the city and gone to the Pillars of Flame in the desert. Even that forced migration wasn't the last hit the Order took, it had split apart over strategic differances and was the enemy of the offshoot Ashen Disciples, as a schism had further shattered the Order. A sad day for a formerly very proud member of the Ashen Order.

Love the giants, love the monks.. though this was a cliffhanger of sorts. They just ran into bandits nothing more.
