5 minutes later: Hmmm I will go to the nearest town and log out in the tavern.
5 minutes later: Ahhh lets go to the auction house, I want to sell something overnight.
5 minutes later: Ok let’s call it a day.

Camping the FBSS in lower guk. It was more like "one more spawn" rather than "5 more mins" but it eventually turned into a 24+ hour camp and me and a buddy took turns at the helm. That was back in high school and while I doubt I still have the stamina to pull off something like that again, I hope to have plenty of attempts in Pantheon!
Journeyman Boots quest in EQ, camping that cyclops on the island in the middle of nowhere. Can't recall what the cyclops was called.
I camped for 4 hours, and after no spawn I kept telling myself 'Just 5 more mins', 'Just one more pop.'.
24 hours later the sucker finally spawned. Again I said, 'Just 5 more mins to get myself with the stuff so I can catch that damn Gnome and do the turn-in.'
4 more hours later (because I was a weak Necro with no STR.) I had to walk invis all the way there from EC. I finally ran into a Shaman buddy who buffed me so I was able to actually catch the Gnome.
After an hour of searching the zone on his path, I finally managed to turn in and get my boots.
28 hours and no sleep just for a pair of digital boots.....I won't tell you how long the PoA raid took for my epic......
Was traveling a lot on business and running a software business so I had a killer laptop. This was back before WiFi days.
The sales guys would go to the bar and drink at night, I would hang out in my hotel room playing EQ with my friends back home or guild or solo-ing.
One time I was waiting for a connecting flight. Connected to a payphone for dial-up, using my company calling card (remember those?).
Sitting in the airport completely *LOST* in EQ, I suddenly remembered where I was, unplugged,slammed my laptop shut, ran to the gate to see that the plane had left.
Probably the best was when we were sneaking into sleeper's tomb on a Tallon Zek and I had to go to work. One of the guildies used showeq, which for those that don't remember tells you what mobs would drop, and convinced me not to go in yet. Long story short I was late to work but got my primal spear and of course I got called out for being late the one time.

Just the typical 'put the character on auto-run and close your eyes for just a second' stories where that 'just a second' ended up being quite longer and when I would finally wake up I'd be staring at a naked character wondering just where in the hell I died.
Been there with 5 more min to wake up to a hearing fighting going on only to look up and see while I decided to take a nap while medding I got my butt kicked by Pandemonium who snuck up on me and killed me.. Talk about a LOL conversation. He was cool about it let me get my body and keep camping the spot. He was out looking for some PVP action and found my kill quite boring as I never moved other than standing up. He thoguht for sure I was going to port out before he killed me. I was like sorry asleep at the keybaord I nodded off like 20 min before I was just glad it was him that killed me and not a wandering mob so I did not lose EXP..
Wife: Supper is ready hon.
Me: Just 5 more minutes dear. (Needed to wrap things up with the guild group I was in you know)
Wife: I'll bring in to you my master. (my wife is quite the smart ass sometimes, like me)
Now, at the time she says this I had keyed up to talk to my guildies to decide how long before we would all be back from break and resume our adventures. They of course heard my wife calling me master and to this day I get ribbed about it.

My best just 5 more mins was a group of us just messing around getting drunk ( in game ) and then deciding to do a plane of hate raid that ended up being all weekend long Haha, it started friday night and was Still going on sunday night, the same raid haha, we just swapped out people as they went to bed, then when they logged back in they rejoined mostly in disbelief that the raid was still going, but it was epic and huge laughs lol
