Win Win for Pantheon

Omg, there is just not enough new streams for us to watch, how many times can we watch Cohh's and Baz's streams, as good as they are,  over and over to get our fix in for Pantheon!

Here is my idea,  people may not want to pledge anymore now because it could be a year or more till they can play and that is bad for revenue stream and for Devs its a problem because they cannot open up more direct play access as they have to manage the amount of people playing now for pre-Alpha and Alpha, Beta phases....so how about Devs you create a new pledge campaign for anyone pledging $100-$200 or whatever you think is enough of a pledge to enjoy the benefit,  that will allow them to log in and shadow whoever is playing at the time, they can pick from names/levels/characters and watch and enjoy Pantheon and placate the need to see more Pantheon over the next year or two until live launch.

If that is not doable then maybe create a private stream from a managed group of people that play daily so we can watch and can only log in to their  stream with valid pledged credentials.

I am hurting watching this beautiful christmas present under the tree that still has a "do not open" tag on it.  I admit I have shaken it and torn a few of the corners off but it aint' helping  ;>

And if this idea rocked and you liked it and implement it then throw a dog a bone and let me in to play ;>;>;>

    Hey DW,

I think the issue is there currently aren't people that are allowed to play daily now. There are Pre-Alpha with scheduled times of when certain people can play. I'm guessing they get the new full feature build ready, you'll be flooded with streams again. In the meantime, there might be something in here you missed: https://www.reddit.com/r/PantheonMMO/comments/a989rv/almost_all_streamed_in_game_pantheon_footage_for/

I enjoyed JimLee's stream and it was longer than most.

    Hey Deathwish,

I'm glad my content can at least temporarily scratch that itch. Managing the exposure for a game like this is extremely tricky and there is no easy solution for it. As hard as it is to wait, showing too much rough footage of the game could do extremely deep and longterm damage to the reputation of the game. But at the same time, investors and pledgers want to see progress being made. It is a very fine line. At the end of the day though, VR has no need to constantly bend to our addiction, nor should they. As Matauris said, Pre-Alpha is only open during certain days and times. That would open up all pledgers with this "shadowing" perk to complain that the servers aren't open during any times they can watch. It's also important to remember that this is testing, not playing. It probably wouldn't be as fun to watch as you think. That would likely then cause rumors to spread around the internet about how Pantheon is "boring" because most people don't understand the true meaning of testing.

Pantheon is coming and 2019 will almost certainly bring more streams than last year. But in the meantime, patience really is the best answer. Just keep digging, reading articles, etc. to inform yourself as much as possible about the game - it makes the time go by faster ;) Keep interacting with the community, and try to find a way to make a positive difference in it. Believe me, feeling like you are helping (even a little bit) to make Pantheon the best community it can be will make you feel not so helpless. Anyone can do it.
