So I am looking over the forums and can't find a recent post. The most recent post was a day or two ago. Many post were more than several days ago. This is a normal occurance and should not be mistaken for a downturn in game popularity.

People are either playing the pre-alpha or they are waiting for new information and off playing another game somewhere else.

I myself, have only been checking in once or twice every several weeks, and I am an avid fan.

When new stuff starts happening the boards will come alive once more.

    Hang in there!!!

Do not get tricked by the "main forum page" as it only shows the TOPICS by date of creation, and not the answers to the original topic.

You need to navigate manually into the forum to see the different timer on "last poster".

A few things you need to remember.

    A) This game is still in development and we don't have a lot of information on it.

    B) Because of A this is a development forum, meaning there isn't a whole lot to talk about except what we would like to see, there will be debates on things that have to do with the development of this game, and still debates on things that VR has already stated will or will not be in the game.

    C) This isn't exactly the greatest forum setup, by any means, because of A and B. It costs some good money to run a good forum, money that VR could invest elsewhere in the meantime. Therefore, this forum does not show the most recent posts in the date stamps. It shows when the thread was created, and because it's a development thread and they want us to necro old topics to discuss or add opinions, it will look like it is dead, it really isn't.

I have been getting more and more active lately because the game started pre-alpha, meaning they are starting to move towards getting ideas set up and into place to start REALLY building the game. That being said, old threads have come up quite a bit, just to add another side of what ideas would be cool if possible, and if it's a good idea I'll see it and know that I contributed more than just money towards the development.

My advice, is to stay active. That is the only way that activity gets created. One person doesn't want to talk to himself on these threads, so the more people that are active and participating in debates and adding ideas will help with the overall activity of the forums, and you never know, it may spark an idea that will make this game that much better.

Personally I've been going easy on the forums because there's not that much new info (this might chance with tomorrows news letter, at least I hope XD) but since the announcement of pre-alpha I've entered a "semi-hibernation" mode untill alpha releases and new info starts popping up, more concrete information on the systems is given so discussion can hapen, etc, because almost all topics have been discussed and specullated to death these last 2-3 years.

Way I see it is, big reveal leads to lots of posts, and then it sort of dies down as folks run out of things to say, and Kilsin closes threads that have completely died out.

While I agree with many that the forum is decently hoppin, I will say that this is nothing compared to how it usually is after a big reveal video or newsletter. So hopefully we get that newsletter soon!

I pledged a long time ago but I've mostly just lurked on the forums from time to time as there hasn't been enough info to really bite into.  I made the mistake of following EQ2's progress super closely for a really long time and was disappointed when the game finally released so I'm also trying to avoid a repeat of that.  My pledge level isn't insignificant so I've already invested in this game somewhat.  But if I let myself get too excited for the game and get my expectations too high I'm bound to be disappointed again.  For now I'm more or less content to check back from time to time, catch up on missed newsletters and videos and scan the forums for interesting topics.  I expect the frequency will increase as alpha nears.
