Thread Name Changes

Is there any way we can enforce name changes on misleading threads, with or without the consent of the original poster?

Here is a thread which has recently been referenced in response to players arguing about female armor sexualization vs realism:

    https://www.pantheonmmo.com/content/forums/topic/5287/request-female-character-model-in-the-next-stream/view/page/1

Maybe I'm alone in this but I probably wouldn't bother looking into that thread unless I was particularly interested in seeing female character models in the next stream. I would never suspect that it was THE discussion regarding female armor sexualization, complete with official VR responses on the issue.

Another example would be the "gnome shelf life" thread, which deals with the serious lore topic of life expectancy in regards to Pantheon gnomes, who now rely on magical relocation of their spirits into a special material, rather than biological bodies. To me, "gnome shelf life" signifies yet another joke thread regarding gnome edibility.

I would love to be able to save everyone's time a little bit by making it easier to find the information we need.

Also, would this go into website support, general support, support, or is it where it needs to be?  I couldn't find any descriptions on those subforums for exactly what they are. I wouldn't call this a support ticket so I just put it here, apologies if I'm wrong.

If you have a concern about a thread title you could pm the OP.

What is a "misleading thread" title is an opinion and there is no way to define which are misleading.  It can't be regulated.  It's probably not ok to change it without consent unless it is breaking forum rules (profanity etc).

Edit: that thread you linked isn't originally about "female armor sexualization vs realism".  It was simply asking if we might see female models in an upcoming stream.  Just because a thread diverged from the original topic doesn't mean it should have its name changed imo.

I just read threads based on the most recent.  Once you get caught up it is easy to browse through the newest posts.  This forum isn't that busy anymore since testing started.

For serious cases im sure a message to a moderator would help, I have the unfortunate thread "are-you-a-brand-fanboy-fangirl-post-your-specs" too which the more aptly named "post your specs" would have sufficed hehe:P

Once a topic is posted, the OP is not able to edit the title. If you think a thread title should be changed, contact Kilsin and he will determine whether or not a more accurate title is needed.

Yes normally a report is the best way to go OP, then to get yourself into a flame war not needed.

Yes, click the report button on the OP and explain to me why it deserves to be moderated in a brief sentence or two and if it conflicts with the guidelines or I see it as misleading/harmful to the community it will be moved/removed/moderated.

I check forum reports for this forum daily.
