  Obviously, the folks here are pretty passionate about their MMORPG alter-egos.  

   

  I think it would be a nice incentive to folks who are paying something out to be able to reserve their preferred character name upon launch.

   

  Any thoughts about this idea?

  It's already included with pledges from Knight's Pledge upward. :)

  ooooh thakns for that head-up.

   

  That's a $100 pledge - a good deal.  especially for getting in early.  Does that include forum access or is that additional?

  OK, I upgraded to Knight Pledge which includes name reservations.

   

  How exactly do I reserve a name, BTW?

  No idea yet. I doubt it'll happen until nearer the time of release so probably not until next year at some point (I could be wrong of course but that would be my guess).

  I expect it means that, if you get a name in alpha/beta, you can mark that name as carrying over to live. The take-away would be that you have to get the name in-game first.

  - Just guessing, of course.

   

  (Not sure how it all would work if (because) there are multiple servers though..)

  The pledge perks are low priorty at this point. We they start Alpha etc will they start looking at the perks. More then likely they will ask what name you want for live and you will provide that information.
