Lycanthropes in game

There are several types of Lycanthropes in Terminus.  They all stem from the same place however.  The Twin Head God sought enlightenment in all things and to share the knowledge and wisdom he gained with his followers.  To these, he gave his form, the form of a wolf.  But the Twin Head God is two entities, Lycus and Nochte.  Lycus sought harmony while Nochte sought dominion.  Nochte cursed some fo the followers of Lycus and changed their forms in different ways.

    1. Lycandrell - unaffected by Nochte's curse.  They are of any race who is given the ability to shapeshift into a wolf-like creature, and back.  There are several factions we know of who each follow a certain piece of Lycus' goal.  Their war with the Ogres is, not just land, but to purge the unbelievers of Lycus.

    2. Nightwolves - They have pledged themselves to Nochte and CHOOSE to not change their forms back into their original races.  They seek domination and the destruction of all Lycandrell.

    3. Werewolves - These come from Lycandrell or Nightwolves.  They have given themselves willingly or unwillingly to feral desires.  Almost all no longer have the ability to shapeshift back to their original form due to their warped mental state, but it is NOT impossible.

This opens up gameplay questions.  At Fort Deviare, we see two wolf creatures: a werewolf looking creature outside the fort in the moonlight, and a wolf-like, gnoll resembling creature inside the Fort in a specific room in the basement.  This room had a mix of playable races and the wolf-like creatures we will assume are Lycandrell.  It appeared to be a temple-type place.  We also know that there are Lycandrell that have territory in Froja Nochta just north of the Azure Isles.

Are the Lycandrell at Fort Deviare assisting them with something?  Are ALL of the people in that temple-esque room at the Fort Lycandrell and some of them were in their wolf form and some not?  Will the NPCs be able to shapeshift from Lycandrell back to their original races?

I wish I could get some VR person to give us some insight on this!!!

I just want to say tha this is my first time reading about this and I sincerely appreciate you providing the info. I've found that Pantheon lore is spread across the internet and I'm getting more into discovering and reading more.

I wonder if these Lycanthropes have the same abilities and weaknesses as the mainstream ones, like the aformentioned weakness to silver. I'm sure there is variation in the types.

Happy to be of service, Dikenzu.

There isn't anything about weaknesses so far in lore, but it seems that Nochte's curse works very similar to the Dire, eating away at you until you are consumed.  That seems to be a theme at several different places in the game: Nochte's Curse, Tohrn elves, the Dire, even wraiths come from a disease of sorts that eats at your soul and body until you reach a state of UNmortality.

I'm finding more people want the lore, just in smaller chunks.  Maybe I'll start working on that...
