Dangerous Alchemist

Could a recipe be volatile and dangerous to attempt? Is there any talk of a danger to crafting an item?  Say you are an accomplished blacksmith of high skill and level: but you receive an ingredient that came from the dragons tongue, trying to add it to a dagger causes an explosion that damages you. You now have no eyebrows for 3 in-game months.  The attempt was otherwise successful and the dagger now has +2 fire damage.

Anyway : feature creep for a future date maybe.

I'd  be cool with some small percentage of recipes having potentially hazardous outcomes. I wouldn't want it to happen out in the field, but being injured or even dying in town at a crafting station wouln't be catastrophic.

With great reward comes great risk.

I am not against the idea, although it should be clear that there is potential danger in the description of the item being used in the crafting. Something along the lines of:

"Dragon's tongue, highly combustable and difficult to handle. Can be used in crafting... with great care!"

Maybe there could be ways to negate that too, with the incorporation of a "soothing" component or specialist equipment.

eq2 had a similar idea like this one in the beginning. Too many mistakes while crafting will cause your own death.

Oh my that would be so funny need to reserve a name like unibrow :)
