NOTE: this post is intended to generate a better picture of the player / teammate you may eventually become. Please,! please keep it in a basic list form. (I like: + I do not like:)
Add an * if you want to follow-up below your list to better explain something. But it should be easy for people to browse and read. Can be funny or silky or serious. Have fun.
Let see how we do?
StoneFish
I like:
Small groups with fun people
Going into the unknown
Following a turbulent quest line
Solving puzzles
Learning about history/lore from locals
Finding little treasures
Keeping my equipment in good shape.
Giving away or selling directly to others what I made/crafted
Banana-nut-bread
Seeing others have a good time.
Being surprised
I do not like:
Grinding being more than 10% of game play
Dealing with dipsh*ts
"Hand held" quest lines.
Restricted sharing of items
Spam
Gold farmers
Wraiths
Petty complaints
Stealing loot drops for no useful reason.
I like:
A feeling of accomplishment
Killing things
Focusing on 1 character at a time/Increasing my characters power
Long grinds/timesinks
Very long term quests/goals...the longer the better
I dislike:
Running out of content
Little or no penalty for failing/being able to progress at something i am bad at if I don't improve
Players not being on a level playing field (buying power, multi boxing etc)
Emphasis on graphics/cosmetics
Lag/connection/loading issues
I like:
Having goals, and a clearly defined path to achieving them
A clean, elegant, and responsive UI
A cohesive world that makes sense in the context of its lore
Consequences
Flexibility and player choice
I do not like:
Loading screens
Cookie cutter class templates
Class homogenization
Overly complex/detailed character creation systems
Skill "rotations"
Real-world/meme references in fantasy/sci-fi settings (unless by lore they take place in the "real" world or some facsimile of it)
I Like:
Combat that allows for meaningful decisions
Tradeskills that produce something I can use, instead of 100s of items just for skill ups
Feeling like my class choice matters (what my class brings to the table, no other class can)
Playing with a group of skilled players and defeating challenging content
Newbie armor quests
I dislike:
Sitting around, trying to find a group
People who are a-holes
Not being able to afford new spells when I reach new level
Like
- Meaningful decisions in combat and strategic long cooldown abilities to support this
- Challenges and rewards for accomplishing them (Combat , Exploration)
- Non linked mobs , but complex patterns and abilities to enable skill as a puller
- Regular downtime (but only for a few mins every hour - enables time to talk)
- Unique loot with unique looks
-A large world where it takes time to travel
- Ability to play Solo , Group or Raid depending on time availible
- Searching for a bargin for sale
Dislike
- Clickly clicky clicky skill rotations giving me RSI and penalising my efectivness if I dont have 100 APM
- Super long camps for items that have unique effects (e.g. Stormfeather)
- Game sessions mandatory > 3 hours (seriously, build safe points into raids)
- Guild vs guild rubbish over raids (a few contested spawns is fine, everything contested is pants)
- Inventory managment
