It will probably offer some minor amount of damage reduction from that element, along with a bonus to the associated acclimation. I really hope it's more than that, though. I would love to see a small but reasonable amount of NPCs / mobs also have elemental attunement, and the Archai should be able to detect this. Mobs attuned this way should glow slightly on the dark. NPCs should behave much more favorably.
