To not steal everything they possess, leaving them completely broke....then stole it all anyway.  Bless EVE Online.

If that is silly I am horrified what evil is.

The worst part about eve is how it told people when you entered their area even when cloaked.  I always pushed them to make cloaking hide the name of people in chat, just to catch more people like you.  They did it for wh but nowhere else.

Hmm, this is something I've never thought about before.  Interesting question and I probably don't have a good answer haha.  I don't normally think about charging people for anything in an MMO other than when I'm buying/selling items.

I guess I accepted plat in EQ from one of the top guilds in order to increase my fletching skill enough to make them some equipment.  That's more of a service but I do remember feeling a little silly thinking "they're paying me to increase my fletching skill!  Awesome!"  Who would pay someone else to increase a trade skill :)  (but in hindsight it just seems like normal business)

I once charged someone to hold their coins so they could travel unencumbered to the bank to change the currency.

I played a coerced in EQ2, and there was a zone that had a brick wall npc that you could use to hone your dps skills. I could charm that brick wall, enlargen it, and use it to block paths. I would then try to charge people tolls to continue on paths as a role play scheme. I could even use it to block zones lines and force people to at least answer a silly riddle to pass
