My wife complaining that I got us killed...
It will depend on how long have I played Pantheon - at the beginning I'll definitely listen to in-game music and sounds as well as voice chat. When in-game sounds become old i'll switch to other music. I wish I could listen to audiobooks when I play, but I don't have divisibility of attention so I'd either get myself killed again or miss out book content - so it would be pointless ...
Having a very competitive wife that likes to throw a fit if she dies I likely won't have time to listen to anything as I hop back and forth from desktop to desktop trying to steer both toons back to there corpses while she's out trying to kick our Goat. (We don't own a dog.)
If at work, regular game music and sounds turned down very low with about ten or so different news programs muted and along with a movie or TV show in the background. Volume usually on about two of them.
If at home, the rare moment I would play, typically just the game music and sound with a TV on or two in the background on the walls at the other end of the office. Usually on low. Will switch to music via Youtube on the other monitors if in the mood. Jazz, Baroque, Electronica, Post-Rock or theatrical. Not a fan of lyrics, but especially when concentrating or playing a video game. Something along those lines.
This is the case regardless of being on a corpse run or not. If I had to pick a song for the corpse run, probably Chopin's Funeral March. Everyone knows that one.
