We have actually done this already but it is more involved than you guys might think and is quite a lot of work on our end to oversee and manage physical merchandise. That is not to say we don't want to do something like this again but right now is not a good time for us while we push towards the next Pre-Alpha build and make progress towards our short term 2019 goals and milestones.
We also made and handed out T-Shirts to those who visited our booth, so it is something we have in the back of our minds but right now just isn't a good time to try and set this up again.

Did Killin just confirm PA6 ?

Lol, fallout 76 was (and is) a mess.
I love the merchandise idea though, but might be better served to wait until alpha is out, and there is a more concrete schedule in place for launch. Last you want is to create more mainstream hype only to have it fizzle out early.

As long as you're not making them and selling them VR probably wouldn't have any issue with it. There must be a pile of disclaimers to read for the press materials that would shed some light on this.

I wanted to pop in here and talk about something that comes up for every game ever created - the "Fair Use" policy.
Our official Terms outline usage in excruciating and lengthy detail, but I'd like us to have something a little shorter and friendlier that will serve 90% of the inquiries we get on content use. Below is a draft that I'd love to get your comments on. It's short, it's to the point, and I hope it explains the need for a policy - in short, if a company does not protect its IP, they lose it!

Kilsin, I think you ar making it more difficult than you need to. There ar ecompanies like CafePress that do all the work. We use them for my company and for an online forum I am active on.
You simply send them your logo(s) and they set up a storefront for you and they sell stock and ship everything. You put a link on your webpage and you never actually touch merchandise or manufacturing or anything.

If we get a merch store after launch,
What physical items would you buy on sight?
Collectibles?
Key chains?
Clothing?
Strategy Guide? (Prima made one for EQ)
Bumper stickers?
Maps?
Posters?
Dog Sweaters?
???
Collectibles! I remember when my brother bought eq in like 2000 you got a little statue with it.
A poster map would be neat too.

Yeah. We're looking into this for a very small non-profit that I co-founded. To do it right, and not using one of those cheesy (aka low-quality) online places is not trivial or cheap. Between setup fees, screen fees, minimum order sizes, you name it. Going to some place like 'Custom Ink' might be great for your office softball team, but when it's a company's image on the line you don't want to cheap out. We want to do hats, t-shirts, mechanic shirts, and the like.

Having looked into this frst-hand, I will say that places like CafePress and Custom Ink use sub-par materials and printing. I'd recommend staying away from them.
